An independent guide to the palaces

Istanbul Palaces is a visitor guide to the nine palaces and pavilions in Istanbul that the National Palaces Administration (Millî Saraylar İdaresi Başkanlığı) opens to the public.

It is not that administration, not the website of any palace and not a government site, and it is not endorsed by any of them. The palaces set their own opening hours, prices and rules; we report them, and we date what we checked.

The guide is published by a licensed Turkish travel agency, whose name and TÜRSAB licence number are at the foot of every page. The same agency runs topkapipalacemuseum.org and dolmabahcepalacemuseum.org, where admission to those two palaces can be booked. This site itself sells nothing.

The history and visitor information here were checked against the operator’s own pages on 29 September 2026 and rewritten in our words. Where the operator’s pages disagree with each other — on prices, for example — we leave the figure out rather than guess.
